Earn Business or Office Administration Certificates Online in One Semester

Surry Community College business students can start work on a certificate in Business Administration or Office Administration in August and then graduate in December – all online in one semester.
The Business Technologies Division is offering both certificate programs online in Fall 2018 in an effort to help students quickly earn stackable certifications that can then be applied for credit toward a diploma or degree.
“We are really excited to be able to offer this opportunity to students,” said Business Technologies Division Chair Shelia Martin. “This is the first time we have scheduled these certificate classes in this format, and we hope many students will take advantage of this class line up.”
The Business Administration certificate requires five classes. BUS 115 Business Law I, BUS 137 Principles of Management, and MKT 120 Principles of Marketing are offered August through October. ACC 120 Principles of Accounting, and BUS 110 Introduction to Business are scheduled October through December.
The Office Administration takes six classes to complete. OST 131 Keyboarding, OST 164 Text Editing Applications, and OST 184 Records Management are offered August through October. BUS 151 People Skills, OST 134 Text Entry and Formatting, and OST 137 Office Software Applications are scheduled October through December.
