Find Your User ID
Surry requires a user account for all students in order to login to Knight Life, email, computers on campus and Moodle learning management system. The first step is to obtain your User ID within Knight Life. Listed below are the steps on how to obtain your User ID in Knight Life.
HINT: Open a second browser window so you can toggle between these instructions while setting up your accounts.
- Go to http://surry.edu and click the Knight Life icon.
- Click Account Information.
- Click the link What’s my User ID?
- Enter your Last Name and either your Social Security Number or your Colleague ID (your Colleague ID/SCC ID # is located on your Registration Form at the top left, under your name). Then click SUBMIT.
- Your User ID will be presented on this page.
- Click LOG IN at the top or bottom of this page.
- Enter your User ID and Password (your 6-digit date of birth – mmddyy).
- Then click SUBMIT.
- You will be asked to change your password.
Important Note: You are responsible for all your accounts. For security purposes please change your password from the default password to something unique that you can easily remember.
NOTE: Changing your password in Knight Life will NOT change your email or Moodle password.
