College Transfer Degrees
The Associate in Arts, Associate in Fine Arts, and the Associate in Science degrees are designed for students interested in transferring to a four-year institution. Additionally, certain other programs, listed in the Associate in Applied Science section of the college catalog, also may transfer to four-year schools (see our counselor or faculty advisor for more information).

Pre-major guides are available in the H building (first and second floors), T Building, Student Development, and on the College Transfer Advising Center section of the college website.

All students who plan to enter a four-year university must have met the Minimum Coures Requirements (MCR) either in high school or at a community college. Generally, the continued study of language (beyond English) and a strong math curriculum in college are recommended.

Associate in General Education
The Associate in General Education curriculum is designed for the academic enrichment of students who wish to broaden their education, with emphasis on personal interest, growth, and development.

Course work includes study in the areas of fine arts, social and behavioral sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics, and English Composition. Opportunities for the achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communciation, fundamental mathematical skills, and the basic use of computers will be provided.

Through these skills, students will have a sound base for lifelong learning. Graduates are prepared for advancements within their field of interests and become better qualified for a wide range of employment opportunities.

Associate in Applied Science
Programs in career technologies are designed to prepare students with technical competence for immediate employment in business, industry, government, health fields, agriculture, social services, or as owner-managers of their own firms. In addition, a number of these programs allow students to transfer to four-year schools.
