Jacob Brintle graduated from Surry Community College in 2005 with an Associate's in Science degree. Originally, he started to pursue an engineering degree which he later determined was not for him as it didn't best suit the creative interests that he had. In the semester following his graduation, he studied under the Advertising & Graphic Design Technology program to pursue his interest in design. He transferred to UNC Asheville and received a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts & Sciences with a concentration in Interactive Design. Jacob wanted to move back to his home-town of Yadkinville, and found an opportunity to work as a Technology Assistant in SCC's Distance Education division. "This position best matches my interest in both the technical and creative side. I'm thankful for Surry Community College as it allowed me to explore my interests to discover my talents and a degree I may not have considered straight out of high school," states Brintle.
