N4CSGA Western Division Meeting

Our Student Government Association will host The N4CSGA Western Division Meeting. 18 Community Colleges from the western part of NC will send student representatives to SCC for leadership training through workshops. Issues Management, Team Building, and Service Learning will be included in the meeting.

Sylvie Granatelli Pottery Workshop Demonstration
Ms. Granatelli, from Floyd County, VA, is an acclaimed potter whose medium of choice is porcelain. The tableware she produces is reflective of her Sicilian and Cajun heritage, inherent in the foods, rituals, and other cultural elements of hospitality. She has taught at Berea College, Virginia Tech., Northwestern University, Penland, and Arrowmont. Her presentation involves lecture, a slide show, and demonstrations in the ceramics studio (limited seating).
