Telecourse Course Offerings

What are teleweb courses?

This course merges the video of a Telecourse with the interactivity of an Internet course. Some course content is accessed via the Internet from home, office, or campus. The course includes the Telecourse (on TV), course web site and textbooks. You must have a VCR, television, computer with Internet access and be able to receive UNC TV and/or Time Warner Cable of Dobson. You will need a computer with Internet access along with certain minimum PC requirements. Be sure to check out the PC requirements. Teleweb Courses are listed on the schedule with a section code of "TW".

Students may rent a full set of tapes for each telecourse or teleweb course from RMI Media, Inc., a private company, for a set fee (usually $65.50). The student receives all the tapes at the beginning of the semester and mails them back at the end of the course. This is a private transaction between the student and RMI. Visit www.rmimedia.com or call 1-800-745-5480 to rent tapes. You will need to give the name and title of your course (e.g. PSY 150, Discovering Psychology), your name and address, a daytime phone number, and credit card information. See RMI’s rental guide for more details.
