Getting Help When You Need It - Who to Contact:

  • Connecting to the Server - If your issue is connecting to the server using your username and password either on the network or over a dial-up connection, please contact the Online Helpdesk at 336-386-3420 or 336-386-3382 or by email at online@student.surry.edu

  • Online Email - If your issue is concerning your SCC email account, refer to the GroupWise WebAccess Help. If you cannot find the answer to your questions, please contact the Online Helpdesk at telephone 336-386-3420 or 336-386-3382 or by email at online@student.surry.edu

  • Moodle - If your issue is how to use a feature of Moodle, please contact the Online Helpdesk at telephone 336-386-3420 or 336-386-3382 or by email at online@student.surry.edu . If you cannot find the answer to your questions, please email your instructor. If the instructor is unable to answer your question, he/she will forward your question to the Moodle Administrator.

  • Classwork - If your issue involves the work that your instructor has asked you to do for class, please contact your instructor.

Technical Support Contact Information for Nights and Weekends

Students requiring technical support between 4:00PM and 10:00PM Monday through Friday or on weekends can contact support by using either of the options listed below.

  • Send an email to online@student.surry.edu describing your problem and include your name and the course you are enrolled in. You will receive help within 24 hours.

  • After 10:00PM, students should either send an email to online@student.surry.edu or contact the Online Helpdesk during the time listed above the next day.
