North Carolina High School students can earn college credits through a special Learn & Earn Online initiative that began in the 2008-2009 school year. Students enrolled in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 may participate by enrolling in one or more online courses through Surry Community College. Qualified students in participating high schools are exempt from tuition, obtaining college credit for completed courses at no cost to them or their families.
Non-public high school students may also enroll in this program once spaces have been offered to, but not filled by, any eligible public school student.
Registration for these courses follows SCC’s schedule. Ask your high school guidance counselor for the Course Enrollment Form. Follow the “7 Easy Steps” on the form to take advantage of this opportunity.
For more information on this program, please visit: Learn & Earn Online or contact Bennett Shores at (336) 386-3281 or email shoresb@surry.edu.
