Thank you for your interest in Surry Community College. We know selecting a college and the right program for you can be difficult and confusing. If you already know what type of program of learning path suits you, please select it below or find it under Programs. After your selection, visit the financial aid department for help in applying for financial aid and find out how to register for classes. The descriptions below are meant to help you identify your needs if you are unsure.
Curriculum offers classes for credit to obtain a Certificate, Diploma or a two-year Degree, including a Transfer degree if you are interested in transferring to a four-year school. These are typically seated classes located on our main campus in Dobson.
Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) offers occupational courses where students learn skills that prepare them for certification/licensing in various trades, as well courses in basic skills and personal enrichment. CCE classes do not offer the traditional college credit, although some may offer specialized certificates or CEUs. Classes are offered at over 100 different locations including the Yadkin Center in Yadkinville, and the Workforce Development Center in Mount Airy.
Distance Education brings the college to you through online classes. There are no physical boundaries or limitations; obtaining a degree or taking a class is as close as your home computer, on days and times that are most convenient to you. Classes are offered in both Curriculum and Continuing Education programs.
