Volunteer Connection Project
Dobson, NC – April 20, 2012. The Volunteer Connection Project is scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Shelton-Badgett NC Center for Viticulture and Enology on the Surry Community College main campus at 630 South Main Street, Dobson.
SCC students and the general public will have an opportunity to meet with regional organizations who are in need of volunteers. The event is being sponsored by Surry Community College Career Services, the Educational Opportunity Center and the Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Board.
This effort will match volunteers with the projects, issues and solutions which are most important to the welfare and the future of the residents of our region. Volunteers are critical in the current economy when services and resources are being lost. Come learn about the organizations which make this part of North Carolina a wonderful place to live.
