Distance Education

Welcome to the Distance Education Program at Surry Community College! We encourage you to investigate the various aspects of our program. Whether you want to complete a degree online or just take an online class, Surry is the place to start.

SCC's Virtual Learning Campus provides students with Distance Education opportunities which include degree programs, individual courses, online admissions and registration, testing, financial aid information and online learning resources. Distance Education offers place-bound learners increased access and flexibility so they may effectively pursue their educational interests. Options include courses offered via the Internet, Hybrid, NC Information Highway, and Learn & Earn (for high school students).

As a learning-centered college, Surry Community College's mission of Distance Education is to provide student access to educational programs through nontraditional instructional delivery methods at times and locations convenient for students. Checkout getting started with Surry Online for more information on how to begin your Surry Online course.

The orientation will be available to new students Monday, July 19th. You will need to obtain your user account information in order to complete the orientation.

Fall online classes will begin August 17th after 12pm.
