Advising & Counseling
Student Development staff and faculty advisors will work with students to plan a course of study to take them from where they are to where they want to be. From learning more about what a particular course is really like to making sure students are going to be ready to complete a degree when they want to, the staff will be there to help.
To find out who your faculty advisor is, come by Student Development and one of the staff will be glad to tell you who he or she is and where their office is located and the extension number. There is also a college directory located on our website with faculty and staff information. Office hours for all faculty are available at the information window in the Reeves building/A-building or call (336) 386-8121.
All registration forms must be reviewed and signed by a faculty advisor or counselor prior to pre-registering or registering for classes. This ensures the student that he/she is staying on track and that the classes they are taking are needed for their program of study.
Counseling
If a student needs to talk with someone about any problem or concern, qualified counselors are available to listen and help resolve problems in a confidential and relaxed setting. Students can talk through whatever is on their mind and quite often gain insight into how to solve the problem through this process. All a student needs to do is come by Student Development and request to speak to a counselor.
Furthermore, if a student is having problems with drugs or alcohol and would like to express concerns or request counseling anonymously, please contact:
